National Philanthropy: Supporting Victims of Domestic Violence

"Alpha Chi Omega encourages our members to support victims of domestic violence through connections with local agencies and to assist in the development and implementation of programs and hands-on activities to educate themselves and others about domestic violence. Members can donate, volunteer, or work to change laws in our efforts to eliminate domestic violence." -National Website

Here at Epsilon Phi we do our own part to support our national philanthropy. Every fall, our chapter organizes a "Race Against Domestic Violence" (RADV) on Georgia Tech's campus supporting our chapter's national philanthropy against domestic violence. We reach out to both the Georgia Tech community, as well as the greater Atlanta community by getting various companies to sponsor the race. We have raised over $6000 in the past two years. This money has been used to support shelters all over the country that help the victims of domestic violence.

Service On Campus

While our main philanthropy is to support the victims of domestic violence, the sisters of Epsilon Phi are also heavily involved in serving the Georgia Tech and Atlanta community. On and off campus, sisters participate in a variety of service activities, such as MOVE, Techwood Tutorial Project, PIE, TeamBuzz, Tech Beautification Day, Sheltering Arms, Hands on Atlanta Day, Earth Day, and AIDS Awareness Day. The sisters are also heavily involved in raising money for Cystic Fibrosis.
