Bid Day
After picking up their bids, the newest members of Alpha Chi Omegas will head to the house where the older sisters will be eagerly waiting to celebrate their arrival! It is undoubtedly one of the most fun days of the semester for both the new members as well as the older sisters.
New Member Period
This refers to the time between receiving bids and initiation. It is a time to become an active part of the sorority, which includes getting a Big Sister and participating in all social functions, chapter meetings and pre-initiation ceremonies.
Revelation Week
During Revelation Week, New Members will be matched with an older sister to act as her mentor and guide throughout her time in Alpha Chi Omega. Each day of Revelation Week, big sisters make gifts for their littles with clues about who they are. It's one of the best parts of the New Member period.
Initiation
Initiation typically takes place in mid-October or November, and is the time when New Members become lifetime members of Alpha Chi Omega.
